Hampton by Hilton – London Gatwick and London Waterloo
|Application||Acoustic Protection | Fire Protection|
|Industry Sector||Hotel & Leisure|
|Product||Club 39 | SAS 52|
A total of nearly 500 guest rooms in Hampton by Hilton’s two flagship London hotels feature Huet’s fire- and acoustic-rated Club 39 doorsets, chosen carefully to complement the high level of interior specification. These 41dB-Rw-rated doorsets, finished in EGGER H3704 Walnut laminate on faces and edges, also carry a 30-minute FD30 fire-resistance rating; each Club 39 door is fitted with combined smoke and acoustic seals on all exposed edges, with an automatic drop seal on the base.
Hampton by Hilton’s purpose-built hotel near London’s Waterloo Station is its first in London and the largest outside the United States, while its counterpart, located immediately adjacent to the North Terminal of London’s Gatwick Airport, is a large-scale conversion and extension of an existing building. Across both projects, Huet also supplied more than 40 sets of 55dB-Rw-rated SAS 52 double interconnecting doors for adjoining guest rooms, all with the same walnut finish.
Each guest-room entrance door is fitted with four sets of 140mm x 70mm stainless-steel lift-off hinges and features a factory-prepared cut-out for a VingCard 3000 ANSI electronic lock. As specified by the developer, throughout both buildings Huet supplied engineered-beech doorframes with a factory-applied white lacquered finish, eliminating the need for on-site painting.
Huet is delighted to have contributed to the introduction of Hampton by Hilton’s new generation of mid-priced branded hotels in prestigious London locations.
