The five-star Sofitel London St James effortlessly combines the best of British and French design, creating a unique and breathtaking hotel in the heart of London. Set in an English Heritage Grade II listed former bank on the corner of Waterloo Place and Pall Mall, the St James provides one of the most luxurious hotel experiences in London.
Sofitel hired RHWL Architects to work on the renovation, a project undertaken by Sofitel in collaboration with The Crown Estate, Westminster City Council and MWB. As Huet is the preferred door supplier to Sofitels parent company Accor, with a strong track record of developing acoustic rated door sets for the hotel and leisure industry, it was only natural to consider Huet acoustic-rated doors for the redevelopment. In fact Huets 45 Rw dB rated ISA DX 43 was the perfect choice.
The ISA DX 43 acoustic rated timber doorset, has a frame and leafs of high quality timber which suits the refined interior design of the hotel. Huet supplied the doorsets with custom moldings on the door leafs and a RAL paint finish to match the specifications of the architect. Ironmongery is similarly custom specified for the project.
The ISA DX 43 provided the ideal combination of design possibilities and acoustic performance for this stunning hotel.
