Fire Rated Timber Doorsets: FD30 & FD60 - BS 476 & EN 1634 Standards

Huet fire rated FD 30 and FD 60 doorsets are fully compliant with European Standard EN 1634 and with BS 476. Our fire rated doorsets are available with timber door leafs and either timber or metal frames.

For public buildings, schools and other educational projects we offer a range of single and double leaf (pairs) FD30 and FD60 doorsets. Tested to British and European standards they can be offered with rebated or square meeting stiles, giving you a choice of single acting or swinging doors - ideal for corridors and areas of frequent public use.

They are available in a choice of finishes including primed for painting, veneer and laminate. Surfaces can be engraved with a selection of patterns, numbers, letters, logos and bespoke designs.

Vision panels are available in a variety of sizes and shapes including square, rectangular, circular and diamond.

Our door leafs have substantial hardwood stiles on all four edges.

FD 60 S / EI 60 S (60 min fire resistance)

FD 60 Performance Fire rated Doorset

The FD60 doorset has been tested to European/British Standards and can be offered in a variety of configurations:

  • Single or double leaf (pairs).
  • Single acting double leaf doors (pairs) with rebated meeting stiles.
  • Swinging (pivot) double leaf doors.
Door Leaf (also available as a pair)
  • Huet solid timber core. Thickness: 51mm.
Lippings
  • Hardwood stiles with a choice of either concealed or exposed square edged lippings (7mm thick).
  • Produced in Hardwood (our choice); Beech or European Oak by request.
  • Can be fitted to 2 long edges.
Door Frame Options (Hardwood)
  • Hardwood (of our choice).
  • Square lining frame (minimum section 32 × 88mm) with loose stop (from 14 × 45mm).
  • We can produce an extension lining to suit a variety of widths greater than 150mm.
  • Can be supplied primed. Hardwood options can also be lacquered, stained or varnished.
Ironmongery
  • 4 hinges (88 × 100mm) per leaf.
  • Cut-outs/mortises are available to suit a variety of locks, handles and door closers.
Perimeter Seals
  • Intumescent seals factory fitted within the frame.
  • Tested to French, European and British Standards for FD 60.
  • Can be offered with an additional smoke seal fitted within the frame.
Vision Panel Glazing Options
  • Integrity and Radiant heat control with partial insulation (EW).
  • Integrity and Insulation (EI).

FD 60 Fire Rated Swinging Door (60 min fire resistance)

FD 60 Fire Rated Swinging Door

The FD60 doorset has been tested to European Standards EN1634-1 EI160. Available as a pivoting single or double leaf doorset.

Door Leaf
  • Huet high density solid timber core. Thickness: 51mm.
Lippings
  • Concealed Hardwood lippings.
  • Produced in Hardwood (our choice); Beech or European Oak by request.
Door Frame Options (Hardwood)
  • Hardwood (of our choice) size 116 × 45 mm.
  • Combined metal uprights and hardwood crosspiece (in this configuration, classification is EI260).
Dimensions
  • Equal leaves
    • From 728 to 928 mm; maximum height: 2180 mm.
    • From 929 to 1028 mm; maximum height: 2040 mm.
  • Unequal leaves
    • Main doorleaf from 728 to 1100 mm.
    • Semi-fix doorleaf from 428 to 890 mm.
    • Maximum area: 4.09 m²

  • GROOM GRL 100 Pivot built within the head of the frame.

  • Hardwood (of our choice).
  • Beech (by request).
  • European Oak (by request).
  • Choice of frame section:
    • Rebated mono-block frame in a selection of widths from a minimum section of 57 × 68mm up to 178mm wide.
    • Square lining (min section 32 × 75mm) with loose stop (14 × 25mm or 14 × 45mm).
  • Can be supplied with extension linings to suit a variety of openings.
Ironmongery
  • 4 × lift-off ball bearing hinges - 140 × 70mm.
  • 4 × rising hinges of 88 × 100mm.
Perimeter Seals
  • Intumescent seals factory fitted to the exposed edges of the door leaf.
  • Tested to French, European and British Standards for FD 30.
  • Combined smoke and acoustic seals are fitted within the frame and leaf. This seal has been tested to meet both smoke control and acoustic performance.
